Lay everything out

Peptide vial, bacteriostatic water, a syringe and alcohol swabs. Work on a clean, dry surface.

Pop off the plastic tops

Each vial has a hard plastic cap. Pinch it off with your thumb to expose the rubber stopper.

Swab both stoppers

Wipe the top of each vial with an alcohol swab. Do this again every single time you draw from a vial.

Draw the water

Uncap the syringe, push the needle through the water stopper and pull the plunger back with slow, steady pressure. Watch the water line drop.

Angle the vial at the end

As the vial empties, tilt it so the needle tip stays in the water and you can draw the rest.

Add the water to the powder

Push the needle through the powder stopper and press the plunger slowly, letting the water run down the inside wall of the glass rather than straight onto the powder.

Roll, don't shake

Take the needle out and roll the vial gently between your fingers. Shaking damages the peptide.

Never shake the vial.

Let it dissolve

It clears on its own over a few minutes. Ready means a clear liquid with nothing floating in it.

Cloudy or particles after a few minutes means don't use it.

Keep it cold

Refrigerate the vial from now on. Swab the stopper before every draw.

Sterilize every contact point

Swab the cartridge cap and the vial stopper. Anything a needle touches gets wiped first.

Draw from the vial

Push a little air into the vial first, then pull out the same amount as liquid. It keeps the pressure balanced and the draw smooth.

Set the vent needle

Pierce the cartridge cap right at its edge with one needle, just the tip in. If it goes too deep, liquid comes back out through the vent.

Only the tip. Too far in and it leaks.

Fill beside the vent

Put the filling needle next to the vent needle. Hold the cartridge steady and press the plunger gently.

Take both needles out

Once the cartridge is filled, remove the vent and the filling needle.

Load the pen

Unscrew the pen body. The cartridge goes in metal end first. Screw the pen back together.

Attach a pen needle

Twist a fresh pen needle onto the pen until it feels secure.

Prime until you see beads

Turn the dial to its smallest setting and press. If no drop appears at the tip, do it again until small beads form. That means the air is out and the pen is ready.

No beads means not primed yet. Repeat.

Cap and store

Put the cap back on and keep the pen refrigerated between uses.

Check the box

Pen, cooling pack, alcohol wipes and pen needles. Everything present, packaging intact.

Inspect the cartridge

One chamber holds the powder, the other the sterile liquid. They stay separated until you activate.

Seat the cartridge

Insert the cartridge into the pen body and make sure it is fully in and locked.

Attach a new pen needle

Remove the pen cap and twist a sterile needle on until secure. Pull off the outer cap and keep it. Then remove the inner cover.

Keep the pen upright

From here on, needle pointing up. Always.

Twist to activate

Rotate the two sections of the pen until you hear and feel a click. The liquid moves into the powder chamber.

Roll to mix

Still upright, roll the pen between your palms until the solution looks clear and even.

Don't shake. Don't mix with the needle facing down.

Inspect before use

Clear and evenly mixed is ready. Cloudy, particles or powder that won't dissolve means don't use it.

Prime the pen

Turn the dial to a small priming setting. Pen upright, press the button once or twice until a drop appears at the needle tip. No drop, repeat.

Use it

Clean the site with a wipe. Hold the pen at a right angle, press, and keep it in place for a slow count of ten before lifting. Rotate sites each time.

After each use

Put the outer cap back on, unscrew the needle and drop it in a sharps container. New needle every time. Never share a pen or needle.

Store it cold, never frozen

Back in the fridge between uses. Not in the door, not against the back wall, where it can freeze.

Freezing damages the product.
